I’m a contest junkie! If I see a contest, I usually enter it… doesn’t matter what the prize is. I typically don’t win, but recently I won some soy wax sprinkles for my wax warmer from Emily at Sprinkles of Faith!!
When I opened the package, there were these two cute, pink zebra-striped boxes with the jars of sprinkles inside. There was also a little card inside each box with a quote on it. (This one says “In 20 years you will be more disappointed by what you didn’t do that by what you did.”)
The two scents I got was “Winter Woods” and “The Perfect Tree”. I decided to start with the “Winter Woods”.
The little sprinkles stuck together a little at first, but that could have been because they had been in the mail box for a while… it gets a little warm in Georgia sometimes. (I got the sprinkles a couple of weeks ago when it was still warm…lol)
Within the hour, the whole house smelled very sweet and candy-like…vanilla… with a hint of sandalwood. It reminds me of when mama used to melt almond bark and make candy-coated peanut butter filled Ritz crackers at Christmastime. It was very comforting, to say the least! When my wife got home from the grocery store, she said, “Wow! It smells just like Christmas in here!!”
After a couple of days, we decided it was time for a change, so we tried “The Perfect Tree.” As we figured, it smelled like musky pine, but it had a little bit of a leathery smell, too. Not a bad leather smell, mind you… a good one. It really made the place smell like a pine forest.
The good thing about the sprinkles is that the smell is there, but it’s subtle. It doesn’t knock you down. They’re very easy to add to the warmer, unlike the cubes we had been using. They’re also eco-friendly and made in the USA (which was a bonus)!
My wife said “What would it smell like if we combined the two?” …so we found out… It was even more “Christmasy”…. we LOVED it!
I wanted to dig around on Emily’s website some more, and found that she has a “Recipes” section! They have actually combined different scents and named them there. At the bottom, I found what we had already done by combining Winter Woods and The Perfect Tree already had a name…
They also have warmers on the site, so if you wanted to get some of these heavenly fragrances, but you don’t have a warmer, they’ve got you covered!
Thanks to Emily Dibrell for the fabulous giveaway! Because of you, our whole house smells like Christmas!
